Fresh Périgord black truffles are prized by chefs around the world — but the best ones are notoriously hard to find. They’re not sold in retail markets, and when you do track them down, the quality and provenance are wildly uneven.
At the Napa Truffle Festival, the American Truffle Company brings you two ways to take them home — both exceptionally fresh, and both the same truffles we supply to Michelin-starred American kitchens.
American-harvested Périgord black truffles are the freshest black truffles you’ll find anywhere. Grown right here in the U.S. and harvested at the peak of their aroma, these are fresher, and therefore much higher quality, than any imported truffles. These are highly limited in quantity.
European-harvested Périgord black truffles are the same celebrated Old-World truffle — but we source them directly from farms in Italy, Spain, or France, bypassing the brokers, wholesalers, and exporters of the slow, traditional distribution chain. That means we get them to you far fresher than the truffles you’d usually find — a world apart from the seven–plus-days-old, no-provenance truffles that are the norm in the market.
Either way, these ultra-fresh truffles will make you the most popular home chef among your friends and family. And every purchase comes with truffle recipes created by the Michelin-starred and master chefs who have joined us as guest chefs at the festival over the years, tailored to be very approachable for home chefs.
